Operating since 1993, Melaka International School was the brainchild of Allahyarham the late, Dr Mohamed Ishak Syed Ahmed and his wife Mrs Shamsunnisa Ishak. Established with the support of the State Economic Development Corporation and The Melaka Foundation, Melaka International School was modelled on the British school system with a vision to create successful individuals who proudly hail from an institution in the historic state of Melaka.

 Taking a global perspective through 21st century learning, Melaka International School believes that every student is an individual deemed for success. MIS accepts students from the age of four to 17. Licensed by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia, and certified by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, Melaka International School’s students and faculty members come from more than 15 countries across the globe.
