MINI CARNIVAL – TRADITIONAL GAMES

Since Malaysia is a rich in culture and heritage, many traditional children’s games that have been around for a very long time, such Congkak, Batu Seremban, and others, are now slowly fading away.

Hence, in conjunction with the Global Perspective Challenge, MIS Year 5 students organised a Charity Event of MINI CARNIVAL – TRADITIONAL GAMES on 22nd July 2022

This event was to promote Physical and Mental Health Through Sports for Leisure and also to reintroduce these games to our local as well as international students. The traditional games we were conducting are:

  • Congkak (Mancala)
  • Batu Seremban (5 Stones)
  • Teng-teng (Hopscotch)
  • Marble Game
  • Zero Point (Rubber rope game)

Through this event, we also aimed to collect donations to be contributed fully to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (Melaka) and we managed to collect RM 1,221.00.
